WHITE WINES OF THE GRAPE VARIETY PINOT BLANC
Pinot Blancs are interesting, delicately fruity wines, well structured with an elegant acidity.
Pinot Blanc derived from the Pinot Gris, which is on the other hand a mutation of the Pinot Noir.
The former name White Klevner was in 1874 converted by an ampelography commission into Weißer Burgunder, to show a close relationship between Weißer Burgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauer Burgunder (Pinot Gris) and Blauer Burgunder (Pinot Noir).
Pinot Blanc should not be confused with white wines produced from Chardonnay.
