Rosé wines are light wines from blue or red grapes, which are produced as whites.
The red grapes for these fresh, very fruity high rosés are pressed immediately after harvest, thus only a part of the berry's color pigments pass into the must.
Weißherbst designated under German wine law a rosé, which was made of a single red grape. The grapes must also come from one area.
Blanc de Noirs (French: "White from black") is the French term for red varieties white wine.
