White Wine

PARADISE RIESLING AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

The KREUZNACHER PARADIES site with clay marl and shell limestone soils is predestined for Riesling and Pinot Noir. Our best wines grow on the south-east facing slopes. Yield reduction and quality-oriented handwork guarantee high-quality grapes with the finest fruit aromas, an elegant acidity and a velvety minerality.

PINOT GRIGIO AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Our Pinot Gris grapes ripen in the best vineyards in the site KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. Heat-storing terrace gravel and also deep, water-storing loamy soils, over 40 year old vineyards next to young plots and different harvest times offer multi-layered, aromatic raw material for our high quality Pinot Gris at multiple yield reductions and quality-optimizing manual work.

PINOT BLANC IN THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Our fruity, elegant Pinot Blanc ripen on clay marl and terrace gravel in the KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG site. Multiple yield reductions and quality-optimizing manual labor and an optimal harvest time guarantee the best grape quality.

SILVANER AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

More than 50 years old Silvaner vines stand on deep terraced gravel soils in KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. The deep-rooted vines produce very aromatic wines. Multiple yield reductions, defoliation of the grape zone and a long ripening period produce extremely healthy, high-quality grapes.

SAUVIGNON BLANC AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Our Sauvignon Blanc grow in young vineyards on heat-storing terraced gravel soils in the KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. They get their aromatic-fragrant character through quality work in the vineyard, such as yield reduction, defoliation of the grape zone and the optimal harvest time.

CHARDONNAY AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Our aromatic Chardonnay wines mature in young vineyards on deep, water-storing clay soils in the KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. Multiple yield reductions, defoliation of the grape zone and a long ripening period result in a complex aroma.

RIVANER / MUELLER-THURGAU AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Young Rivaner vines on deep clay soils in KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG provide the grapes for our fresh, dry Rivaner and our sweet Müller-Thurgau wines. Yield reduction and good ventilation of the grapes through defoliation ensure a distinctive aroma, that is typical for the grape variety.

MUSKAT OTTONEL AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

This grape variety, which is not typical for the Nahe region, was established in the winery by Roland Mees' grandfather, Heinrich Mees, the last mayor of Bosenheim before the incorporation by the city of Bad Kreuznach in 1969, in his youth. A small number of vines in KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG is still preserved today and we obtain high-quality grapes for this white wine rarity through multiple yield reductions, defoliation of the grape zone and a long ripening period.

KANZLER WINE AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

origin: The grape variety Kanzler was bred by Georg Scheu in 1927 at the State Institute for Grapevine Breeding in Alzey from a cross between Mueller-Thurgau and Silvaner. Kanzler vine is a rather rare white wine variety that is only grown in Germany, especially on the Nahe. While researching the grape variety "Kanzler" we encountered the history of its origins and we found Georg Scheu's idea very fascinating. We put it into practice and strived to achieve the maximum quality with all the means available to us today. The wines we produce grow in KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. They are generally very high quality and aromatic and have a high aging potential.

SCHEREBE AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE

Our Scheurebe wine grows on the heights of the KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG. Influenced by the heat-storing terrace gravel and the high level of sunshine in the summer months, a unique aroma of mango and honeydew melon develops in the grapes.
